The law firm Markovits, Stock & DeMarco, LLC is investigating claims on behalf of victims of a data breach involving Fiondella, Milone & LaSaracina LLP, a Certified Public Accounting firm that provides tax and audit services to individuals and business entities.
Fiondella, Milone & LaSaracina states in a sample notice letter provided to the Maine Attorney General that on September 14, 2021, Fiondella, Milone & LaSaracina identified unusual system activity on its network. It later determined that between September 9 and September 14, 2021, cybercriminals accessed its network and “potentially copied” folders containing the sensitive data of 92,197 people. The notification provided to the Maine Attorney General does not explain how cybercriminals were able to access its network, or the specific steps that Fiondella, Milone & LaSaracina will take to make sure it does not happen again.
