What Happened?

On August 4, 2022, KeyBank learned that an unauthorized party accessed and copied certain information from the KeyBank’s network.[1]  On July 5, 2022, KeyBank vendor Overby-Seawell Company allowed a third party to gain remote access to its network and steal sensitive personal information belonging to Key Bank clients.  In total, the data of an unknown number of individuals was compromised in the breach.[2]
