Onetouchpoint, Inc. Data Breach Class Action Investigation

WHAT HAPPENED?

On April 28, 2022, OneTouchPoint, Inc. discovered encrypted files on certain of its computer systems.[1] OneTouchPoint, Inc. then launched an investigation to determine the nature and scope of the activity.[2] The investigation determined that there was unauthorized access to the affected systems beginning on April 27, 2022.[3]

WHAT INFORMATION WAS EXPOSED IN THE DATA BREACH?

OneTouchPoint, Inc. has disclosed the following information was included in the data breach:

  • Names,
  • Dates of Birth,
  • Social Security numbers,
  • Addresses,
  • Health information,
  • Treatment descriptions,
  • Dates of services, and
  • Diagnosis codes.[4]

 

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IMPACTED BY THE DATA BREACH?

OneTouchPoint, Inc. did not begin notifying victims of the breach until June 3, 2022.[5]  In total, the data of 1,073,316 individuals was compromised in the breach.[6] OneTouchPoint, Inc. admitted it hasn’t determined the full scope of the compromise yet, but that it decided to inform all individuals whose information was likely impacted.
