Maternal and Family Health Services, Inc. detected a cyberattack on its computer systems on April 4, 2022.[1] The forensic investigation determined from August 21, 2021, through April 4, 2022, files were exposed that contained sensitive private information.[2]
Maternal and Family Health Services, Inc. has disclosed the breach involves confidential and personal information, including:
- full names,
- addresses,
- dates of birth,
- driver’s license numbers,
- passport information,
- Social Security numbers,
- financial account information,
- medical information, and
- health insurance information.[3]
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IMPACTED BY THE DATA BREACH?
Although the unauthorized access went on for over eight months and was discovered in April 2022, Maternal and Family Health Services, Inc. did not report the data breach to the authorities and the affected parties until January 3, 2023.[4] In total, the data of at least 461,070 individuals was compromised in the breach.[5]
