Fontainebleau Hotel Data Breach Class Action Investigation

The Fontainebleau Hotel, a luxury hotel in Miami, Florida, recently disclosed that in 2022, primarily on or between August 30 and September 2, an unauthorized third party was able to gain access to its network and obtain personal and private information of Fontainebleau clients and customers.[1]

WHAT HAPPENED?

The Fontainebleau Hotel confirmed that between August 30, 2022, and September 2, 2022, it experienced a cyberattack by an unauthorized third party. That unauthorized party was able to access Fontainebleau’s network and the files stored within. The Fontainebleau Hotel believes that the third party was able to access files containing private and personal information of its customers.[2]

WHAT INFORMATION WAS EXPOSED IN THE DATA BREACH?

Upon information and belief, the unauthorized third-party that was able to access the private information of The Fontainebleau Hotel’s customers and employees, including:

  • Full names;
  • Social Security numbers; and
  • Financial account information.[3]
