The Honorable Richard J. Leon has preliminarily approved a $153 million settlement between Lead Plaintiffs Ohio Public Employees Retirement System and State Teachers Retirement System and Defendants Fannie Mae and KPMG in the matter of In re Fannie Mae Securities Litigation, Case No. 04-cv-1639 (D.D.C.).
Appointed by the Court as Lead Counsel in this class action securities litigation, Markovits, Stock & DeMarco represented the Lead Plaintiffs on behalf of hundreds of thousands of individuals, pension funds and other investors in Fannie Mae common stock and certain options spanning the period from April 17, 2001 through and including December 22, 2004.
