Markovits, Stock & DeMarco File Vita-Mix Blender Injury Lawsuit

On Behalf of | Mar 16, 2020 | Firm News

On March 9, 2020, attorneys at Markovits, Stock & DeMarco, LLC and STratege Law, LLP filed a complaint based on injuries their client suffered when operating a Vita-Mix blender.  Vita-Mix later recalled the blender for “posing a laceration hazard.”

In July 2018, our client’s finger was mangled when her Vita-Mix blender separated from the blending base during use. Vita-Mix understood the blender purchased by our client posed a risk of injury during operation. Indeed, Vita-Mix voluntarily recalled the blender our client was using roughly one month after she was injured. The Recall stated: “It is possible that the container may separate from the blade base, exposing the blades and posing a laceration hazard.” Vitamix “received 11 reports of lacerations when consumers’ hands came in contact with exposed blades” before issuing the Recall.

These facts and allegations are explained in more detail in the following complaint {click here}.
