On January 2021, United States District Judge Walter H. Rice appointed Markovits, Stock & DeMarco, LLC on behalf of thousands of Navistar retirees in a class action settlement (Shy v. Navistar International Corp., No. 3:92-CV-00333 (S.D. Ohio)) that is valued at over $700 million in total retirement and medical benefits to class members. These benefits will be provided to class members automatically without having to submit any claims under the settlement. Markovits, Stock & DeMarco, LLC founding member Bill Markovits, who has been leading the firm’s efforts in this case, indicated his appreciation for the Court’s appointment as Class Counsel and the opportunity to represent that class’s interests: “Our firm is delighted to be appointed as Class Counsel and looks forward to assisting the Class in procuring the settlement benefits made available by the class action settlement.”
