Wenco Management detected a cyberattack on its computer systems on August 21, 2022.[1] The investigation that followed determined that an unauthorized actor had access to certain Wenco Management systems and obtained information stored on its systems related to its health and welfare benefit plan for employees.[2]
Wenco Management admitted the breach involves confidential and personal information.[3] Wenco Management has disclosed names, social security numbers, and plan selection information were included in the breach.[4]
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IMPACTED BY THE DATA BREACH?
Wenco Management did not report the data breach to the authorities and the affected parties until October 20, 2022.[5] In total, the data of 20,526 individuals was compromised in the breach.[6]
