On March 27, 2023, Albany ENT & Allergy Services learned that it had experienced a data breach.[1] In its notice letter to the victims, Albany ENT & Allergy Services disclosed that from March 23, 2023, and April 4, 2023, an unauthorized entity was able to gain access to its network. This unauthorized entity was able to access documents and records containing sensitive personal information of the provider’s patients. Though Albany ENT & Allergy Services began investigating the data breach shortly after learning of its occurrence, it has not disclosed the scope or cause of the breach.[2]
