PharMerica Corporation Data Breach Class Action Investigation

PharMerica, located in located in Louisville, KY experienced a data breach and notified the Attorney General of Maine of such breach on March 12, 2023.

 

WHAT HAPPENED?

PharMerica confirmed an unauthorized actor gained access to its internal network on March 12-13, 2023. The notice letter PharMerica issued on May 12, 2023 indicated that Social Security numbers were included in the information disclosed in the data breach and that the breach compromised roughly 5,815,591 individuals’ personal information.

 

WHAT INFORMATION WAS EXPOSED IN THE DATA BREACH?

PHARMERICA reported that the following information was included in the data breach:

  • names,
  • addresses,
  • dates of birth,
  • Social Security numbers, and,
  • Medications and health insurance information.[1]
