Ascension and Vertex began notifying individuals affected by this data breach once the investigation concluded.
Ascension confirmed that for an undisclosed or unknown period of time unauthorized third parties were able to access files and systems that were supposed to be secure by infiltrating legacy websites managed by a third party, Vertex. Ascension has confirmed that in the course of this data breach, the personal sensitive information of certain individuals may have been compromised.
