Generations Federal Credit Union Data Breach Class Action Investigation

Generations FCU reported to the Office of the Texas Attorney General on June 12, 2023, that it has experienced a data breach impacting an estimated 78,216 individuals associated with Generations FCU.[2] No further information about the cause of the data breach, of Generations FCU’s response to the data breach has yet been released.

WHAT INFORMATION WAS EXPOSED IN THE DATA BREACH?

The unauthorized third-party that was able to access the following private information:

  • Names;
  • Addresses;
  • Social Security numbers,
  • Drivers’ license numbers
  • Government issues ID numbers;
  • Financial information (account numbers, credit/debit card numbers);
  • Medical information; and
  • Health insurance information.[3]
