Wilton Re confirmed an unauthorized actor gained access to its customers sensitive information between May 29, 2023 and May 30, 2023 through the use of the MOVEit transfer tool used by the company’s third-party service provider, PBI Research Services. The notice letter Wilton Re issued indicated that Social Security numbers were included in the information disclosed in the data breach and that the breach compromised roughly 1,482,490 individuals’ personal information.
