WHAT HAPPENED?
Cornwell Quality Tools became aware of a cyberattack impacting its computer systems and network on September 22, 2022.[1] Cornwell Quality Tools has disclosed the breach involves the confidential and personal information of individuals on its systems, including but not limited to:
- names,
- Social Security numbers, and
- driver’s license numbers.[2]
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IMPACTED BY THE DATA BREACH?
Cornwell Quality Tools did not report the data breach to the authorities and the affected parties for nearly a year – not until August 29, 2023.[3] In total, the data of 11,884 individuals was compromised in the breach.[4]
