WHAT HAPPENED?

Ohio History Connection detected a cyberattack on its computer systems and network in early July 2023.[1] Ohio History Connection has disclosed the breach involves the confidential and personal information of its employees on its systems, including but not limited to:

  • names,
  • Social Security numbers,
  • addresses, and
  • financial account information.[2]

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IMPACTED BY THE DATA BREACH?

Ohio History Connection did not report the data breach to the authorities and the affected parties until August 23, 2023.[3] In total, the data of 7,600 individuals was compromised in the breach.[4]
