Idaho National Laboratory Data Breach Class Action Investigation

WHAT HAPPENED?

Idaho National Laboratory detected a cyberattack on its computer systems and network on November 19, 2023.[1] The Idaho National Laboratory has disclosed the breach involves the confidential and personal information of many current and former employees, including but not limited to:

  • names,
  • Social Security numbers,
  • dates of birth,
  • addresses, and
  • telephone numbers.[2]

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IMPACTED BY THE DATA BREACH?

The Idaho National Laboratory did not report the data breach to the authorities and many of the affected parties until December 12, 2023.[3] In total, the data of 80,166 individuals was compromised in the breach.[4]
