ARROWHEAD REGIONAL COMPUTING CONSORTIUM DATA BREACH CLASS ACTION INVESTIGATION

WHAT HAPPENED?

On December 7, 2023, ARCC disclosed an unauthorized access to its network and internal computer systems. An investigation uncovered that on February 6, 2023, unauthorized third parties were able to access and acquire information stored on ARCC’s server.[1] ARCC recently began notifying individuals and states’ Attorneys General of the Data Breach, estimating that the private sensitive information of more than 65,000 individuals was impacted in the breach.[2]

WHAT INFORMATION WAS EXPOSED IN THE DATA BREACH?

ARCC has disclosed the following information was included in the data breach:

  • Full names; and
  • Social Security numbers.[3]
