WHAT HAPPENED?

On January 22, 2024, DMOS disclosed an unauthorized access to its network and internal computer systems that it discovered nearly a year ago on February 17, 2023. An internal investigation has uncovered that unauthorized third parties were able to access and acquire information stored on DMOS’s server.[1] DMOS recently began notifying individuals and states’ Attorneys General of the Data Breach, estimating that the private sensitive information of hundreds of individuals was impacted in the breach.[2]

WHAT INFORMATION WAS EXPOSED IN THE DATA BREACH?

DMOS has disclosed the following information was included in the data breach:

  • Social Security numbers;
  • Dates of birth;
  • Driver’s license numbers;
  • State identification numbers;
  • Passport information;
  • Direct deposit information;
  • Medical information; and
  • Health insurance information.[3]
