WHAT HAPPENED?
Dobson Technologies, Inc. detected a cyberattack on its computer systems and network that occurred on February 27, 2023.[1]Dobson Technologies, Inc. has now disclosed the breach involves the confidential and personal information on its systems, including but not limited to:
- full names,
- Social Security numbers,
- drivers’ license numbers, and
- state identification numbers.[2]
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IMPACTED BY THE DATA BREACH?
Dobson Technologies, Inc. did not report the data breach to the authorities and many of the affected parties for nearly a year following the breach – not until February 15, 2024.[3] In total, the data of at least 6,158 individuals was compromised in the breach.[4]
