by Markovits, Stock & DeMarco, LLC | Jul 21, 2026 | Class Action

Received a Madera Community Hospital data breach notice?

Markovits, Stock & DeMarco, LLC is investigating potential claims on behalf of individuals whose personal information may have been compromised in a data breach involving Madera Community Hospital.

Madera Community Hospital began notifying individuals that their personal information and protected health information may have been accessed by an unauthorized party.¹ If you received a data breach notification letter from Madera Community Hospital, you may be entitled to compensation and other legal remedies.

What Happened?

Madera Community Hospital reported a data security incident involving unauthorized access to its computer network. On May 29, 2025, the hospital detected suspicious activity and hired third-party cybersecurity experts to investigate. By June 2025, the forensic investigation had determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to the hospital’s network over two days—May 28 and May 29, 2025.

Madera Community Hospital reported that it had reason to believe a third party may have acquired files from a portion of its network. According to publicly available reporting, Madera Community Hospital began notifying affected individuals by written letter following the completion of that review.² The total number of individuals affected nationwide is not yet known.

What Information Was Involved?

According to public reporting, the Madera Community Hospital data breach may have involved the following types of personal information and protected health information:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Home address
  • Social Security number

  • Financial information³

Because the incident may have involved both personally identifiable information and protected health information, affected individuals may face an increased risk of identity theft, insurance fraud, medical identity theft, and targeted phishing attempts.

Who Is Affected?

If you received a notice from Madera Community Hospital, you should review the letter carefully, monitor your financial accounts and credit reports for unusual activity, and take steps to protect yourself from identity theft and fraud.
